Hello
I changed my vertro clutch and slave cylinder plus hose and plunger and bearing etc all new.
Changes gear fine .
But pedal is quite stiff.
I did bleed the system with help of friend.
Also the gap at the end of the plunger is 6.5mm .
Could there still be air in the system?
Thanks

Stiffness has nothing to do with air. That would make the pedal soft and prevent full clutch disengagement. The stiffness will be mechanical, maybe some of your new parts are too tight a fit? Plunger especially, or the lever, or even the slave cylinder. But check and lubricate the pedal pivot.

But is it really stiffness (friction) or excessive spring pressure? The latter may be due to the clutch being new and therefore in a better state than the old one.

Have you got any twists in the hose? That'll do it.

No bends In the pipe.
I greased the plunger and all the other bits well librificante.
Only bit I haven't lubrificatedcis is the pedal inside the car

What did you use to lubricate them with?  Ordinary Greases and Oils will make the seals swell, they are not at all compatible with Mineral Oils or Greases (or any version of them). There are special Greases for Rubber and Brake parts, which is what should be used on these.

Did you change the pressure plate? as the different levels can make for a harder pedal

I used grease on the plunger and lever release (grease I use on suspension joints nipples)
I put a bit on the rod that goes in to slave cylinder (also new)
The clutch ia all new pressure plate and new mini spares lightened flywheel.
(Vertro clutch)
I did leave one of the bolts off the clutch wok cover (could not get it back in😢)

So it isn't air ?
Maybe it's me
I mean the old one has been in for 26 years
Maybe the spring in the slave cylinder being new
