Anyone have any experience with or know much about this kit from Maniflow?

http://www.maniflow....61&product=1388

Is it worthwhile or just a gimmick?

RCM exhausts have been used on motorcycles for years. As with any exhaust system it would require setting up on a rolling road to see any benefit and as stated its for highly tuned larger displacement cars. The RC40 and the more robust Maniflow twin box systems are good for up to 110-120 hp and are reasonably priced.

So not worth getting this for my very standard 1275?

I've got the road version fitted to my stage 1 998, it certainly made a difference over the straight through system I already had. The system itself isn't expensive at all! Probably about £130 Maybe all in, it's an exhaust that nobody really knows about apart the the historic racers who use the 2" version, which is mega money! Hope this helps

Where have you seen the kit for £130? Maniflow are selling this at £300 inc. VAT through their website.

You're looking at the race version, completely overkill for a standard 1275 as its a 2" system! Rcm road version is around £130 if you buy the heavy duty fitting kit for it as well,

I was pretty certain that kit is a 1.75" road version of the RCM. It includes both the inlet and exhaust manifold, the fitting kit and filters etc.

The RCM and exhaust alone are just under £130 as Dusky has pointed out.

Nope you can't buy the rcm as a whole kit, it only comes with the link pipe, the cone (rcm) and the back box. That is £99 from maniflow, then you need to buy the heavy duty fitting kit, which is £13 I think, plus P&P probably about another £10-12, so like I said, £130, and the road rcm is 1.75", the race one, which I presume is what you were initially looking at, seeming as you thought it was £300+vat, is the 2" race version, unless you're pushing 130bhp it's not needed, you can buy a stage one kit from maniflow or minispares/sport which has just the inlet, needle, air filter, it's also worth getting an lcb which will help the engine breath better and thus produce more power, it'll need tuning on a rolling road to get the best out of everything

Ah yeah ok I just seen the kit you were talking about! I've never looked on maniflows performance kit section. I stand corrected
