Hi all,

Converting my '98 sportspack (currently standard 13inch and sportspack arches) to 10" wheels but want to keep the sportspack arches.

What offset do i need/what rims provide the right offset, so that i don't need to use spacers? I know it's doable as I've spoken to a couple of people about it, but i got confused when the last guy i asked said he was running genuine minilte 7x10's... Now i'm fairly certain these don't exist, so was it just a typo and he meant the standard genuine minilite 6x10's?

Cheers,

Pete

sportspack 6x13s  are ET22, meaning the rim is biased toward the car by 22mm, as an example most 7x13's are et-7 meaning they are biased away from the car by 7mm... so thats 29mm difference in ofset between those wheels... not to mention the 7x13 is an inch wider.... so the 7x 13 will " stick out" 42mm more than the sports pack.

if my maths is right...

try this youtube link may be helpful. also if you have 8.4 disc brake set up you may find the 10" wheels wont fit.

If you're going to fill the Sportspack arches and keep sensible inset then you will need 7 inch wide wheels. I don't think there's much choice of 7 inch wide x 10 inch. And even less choice of suitable tyres..

And for dry weather might be OK in straight line, but would not recommend taking the car out in wet weather using this width. In my experience aquaplaning is already bad using 165 section 10 inch tyres.

Anybody know if you can get 6x10 Ultralites under Miglia arches with the wheels sticking out a bit?

Thanks
