Hi guys,
I work at sea, and I'm needing to get my clubman insured before I get back home, but was wondering who the best company to go with is?
Looked online and have seen a couple of companies such as Performance Direct, Wolf Race Insurance and Adrian Flux that all specialise in modified classics.
I see from other threads that a few people have tried Adrian Flux, but my previous experience with them wasn't great. So are there any other companies that you would recommend?
I own another car, and have it insured through Admiral, but as soon I said my mini was modified, they wouldn't even provide a quote.
Any advice would be a great help.
Cheers
Your story sounds rather familiar!
When I sent through my modifications through to some of the insurance companies the quotes were just... well stupid, Adrian Flux were okay but the agreed valuation process was too complicated, they restricted my millage too much and were quite costly. Admiral well were not interested!
I ended up taking my dads advice who has several classic cars and bikes and used Richard Hoskins. https://www.rhspecia...nsurance.co.uk/
I can only quote my own experience to say that to date they have been nothing but brilliant. Agreed valuation, retained salvage, agreed mileage, a decent policy with no stupid clauses and a good price too boot considering the amount of modifications my car has got!
I'm not knocking RedRuby in his recommendation for Peter Best. Where I'm coming from is you have now got another recommendation you can give a shout if you wish to.
Let us know how you get on if you don't mind. If Peter Best come out better than Richard Hoskins I'll give them a shout next time mine is up for renewal.
