I have a composite gasket CF070L sold as Lucas brand and I'm trying to figure out the compressed volume. Can't find anything on the internet. I measured the gasket , it's 1.45mm thick, but who knows how much it compresses once torqued down... fire rings are egg shaped, so good luck with calculating the volume anyway. any help would be much appreciated!

When doing c.r. calcs I always use 2.7 cc for a 998.

Thanks. I've seen the Payen copper ones which actually specify 2.8 but wasn't sure it was a common number for most 998 gaskets.

The old standard O.E. replacement steel shim gaskets are .018" compressed. I forget exactly what the Mr. Gasket steel shim gaskets squish to, but right in that area.....

A payen copper gasket fire-ring measures 0.030" crushed [off] which works out at 2.7 to 2.8 cc

Yours is quite thick at 1.45mm (0.057") I have just measured a composite one at 0.050" it certainly won't crush to 0.018"

I would calculate at 3cc [near enough for lads]
