I can't help but thing this has gone to far. He suggests sacrificing a 1966 Mini, itself a significant car, for it's bodyshell, a big price to pay for what to my mind would end up as pretty near to a replica car and not the real thing that came out of the Crayford factory.
A very sad case. I only hope there is enough left to do what I would call a true restoration.

My best friend has a Crayford which he is going to have professionally restored ..........

A properly restored Crayford can be worth as much as a similar condition Cooper of the same age do it's well worth doing.

Well I was the one who was brave or stupid enough to take that on. The bodywork is now complete and off to paint
