Hi All,

I am currently putting a '91 998 track day car back on the road.

The 2 clock speedo is cracked and I have decide to replace it with a centre speedo. I have purchased a centre speedo wiring loom, unfortunately there is no wiring guide with it.

Does anyone have a wiring diagram or wiring conversion guide?

Thanks

I'm in the process of swapping mine over.Mine is a 91 MAYFAIR 998 with the 3 clock O/S dash.

This year mini seems a bit of a PIG to work on,compared to the MINFINITY  one, yet they look identical.Going by the pics it's got exactly the same interior, dash ect,

I think he's left out ALL the BRICK WALLS YOU COME UP AGAINST THO.

The stuff you've got to remove!!! He makes it look like you just take out the screws and the NEW/OLD STYLE binnacle just gives in and fit's itself!!

Good on him tho I'm not knocking his work ethic  ;D but he could of included the difficult "nook an cranny/finger nickin bits that he must have been SWEARING LIKE A TROOPER parts."

Question...What size Speedo Cable did he use, there are at least 5 different lengths (screw on both end)??

" "   "   "  ....Did he end up removing that CENTER  FIREWALL PLATE The original wiring loom passes through? I had to,(the plate has a sloped part that is on the interior side that won't let the Binnacle butt up to the Firewall) and I had to junior hacksaw it to free the loom?

If you check out his pick it's still in place?

I'm going to wire up today, but I'm going to check it over first with power from my batt charger,to be on the safe side.

I'll get back and keep ya'll  informed O_O

Just thought on Have you put a "just the speedo/fuel gauge binnacle" like the old Minivans had? If so I forgive you for my ranting, heh heh.

Thinking I should have done the same :X

Right, speedo binnacle secured in,connected the leads (Colour Coded) untill I came to the last wire (original 91 loom) I have a W/BWN (WHITE with Brown TRACE going SPARE???? the Clock Wiring Harness from MiniSPARES does not have a White/Brown Trace wire??

Do I just tape this off.

It shows in the Haynes  White/Brown Trace wire as OIL PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT.

I'm fitting a new oil pipe and connector to the block take off.

Any IDEAS Guys?
