I'm currently building a mini turbo with a metro turbo engine, I'm doing a bit of research in what turbo to use. I'm tempted to run with a dual ball bearing turbo I've looked at the gt3076r. any other dual ball bearing turbos people would suggest?

GT3076!!!!

it will never make any boost! far to big, might be ok if you strap 2 1380's together, or go to 16k.

GT2056 is considerd a big turbo for the A series and will easily be big enough for 220hp, some people with 16v heads have managed to run as big as the GT2860 (RS) but I think you'll struggle to find a BB turbo small enough.

GT1752 from the saab 95 is a great turbo for a road car, or the td04 equivalent (bit more durable than the gt17)

as a general rule the last 2 digits on garret turbo's are the  compressor wheel diameter which gives an indication of the output, your looking for somthing around 48-58mm, but ideally you need to plot  the flow on the compressor map, try this with a ve of 85%

they are good for 200+, the highest Ive seen recorded is around 240 on the GT17.

they are a good choice as they com on boost quite early so are pretty drivable, the 2056 comes on about 3500rpm
