Hi. I have recently replaced my brake master cylinder and front brake pipes in the engine compartment of my 1987 998 mayfair. I believe i have bled the hole system properly and have used about 250ml out of a 1ltr bottle of fluid. Having never done this before, does this sound about the correct amount ?

You may need to use a pressure bleeder to get all the air out, how are you currently doing it ?

You would be better with someone sitting in the car. :highfive: Ideally you need a professional brake bleeder, but they cost an awful lot of money for the amount of times it's needed. >_<  :shy:

The system takes less than you would think, the pipes are small bore internally and there is t much capacity of the cylinders/ calliper so 250ml doesn't sound too, low. But the key is how they feel, if they are as firm, or better, than before (assuming you didn't do it due to problems) then you are ok.

The easi bleeder is great for DIY use.  Great bit of kit, comes with several caps of various sizes.

Much better than a body on the drivers seat, and much cheaper than a professional unit.
