I am lookin to sell my mini and get a Rover Mini
where are all the vin tags located and could someone take pictures of all of them so i know what they look like?
This is so I can avoid ones that have had the vins changed on them.

under the bonnet, driver side inside wing, pretty much behind the headlight.

Pre '84 the plate was in the same location, but on the other wing ahead of the radiator. The body number should also be stamped into the rear bonnet gutter of the scuttle panel, above the location for the RHD or vacuum servo pedal box. It is usally framed by asterisks each side(eg ***12345678***). I don't think this number necessarily has to match the VIN but I'm not sure. I also don't know when they started using this stamp.
