Hi;

After a long while working on this project I refitted the window winder and attempted to wind down the window, it was stuck.

After a liberal application of WD40 I managed to lower it about 1/2 inch, then I noticed that the front rail was moving down but the window was still jammed.

Anyway the support rails on which the window sits are badly rusted and fell off!!

I found the exploded diagram on Mini Spares here the piece that fell off looks like Part 25 ALA5746

The genuine products (single or pair) are quite pricey, but I see Mini Spares do a kit here

Is there a guide anywhere on refitting a front window so I can take it all apart and find out what needs replacing before I place an order?

Thanks

I would get the rail from here, made of stainless so won't rust like the normal ones. Theres not much to the winder mechanism
