just a quick question, are those new brakes 7.5 or 7.9, because i am thinking of getting a set but i cant decide what size to buy and i have heard that the 7.9s fit with all 10 inch wheels except steelies? love your thread by the way :)

These are 7.5" brakes. They are a tight fit, I had a set of Mamba's that would not fit over the 4 piston calipers, FYI.

Just curious, did you expect it to take over a year to finish?

When do you think you'll get to drive her home?

No, we were planning on 3-4 months. Lol.
It's a combonation of me adding more and more things to the build, and john trying to get the mock up frame finished to than make the jig from it to make the finished frame for me. Plus life threw us some curve balls.

It'll be so worth the wait and now since it's winter time, john can focus on the final assembly, get her tuned and tested.
I should be picking her up end of march 1st week of April! Just in time for spring.

Yea this year has been probably the roughest physically and emotionally to say the least. So life threw me/my family some curve balls. That combined with building the engine/delays with transmission/gear/lsd, etc. Then add in "well since we are in there", IE the firewall, and so many other components that you might as well clean it up, repaint, replace, etc. The frame development took way longer that I would have liked, however I rather have it 100% right then build it up, find a problem, take it apart, etc. Plenty of test fitments, runs to powder coater. Anyway, can't wait to be ripping down the street, it really is gonna be a nice clean... fast little mini with a lot of little unique touches.
