She turned out great man! Very nice work from all involved. It certainly makes me think about a swap one day..

I might have missed it but where did you get the front lip and the rear spoiler/tail? I'd love to get those for my own mini! They add a nice bit of style but don't stand out.

Looks to be a Mclean Bros front splitter. Can get them from ABS Motorsport. Not sure about the rear spoiler though.

Thanks man, looks like you were right.

After some more searching I found the supplier of the parts: https://www.facebook...87762691251357/

Looks like they do good work so I will have to save up my pennies.

Great build thread and beautiful car. Do you have a build thread of the 510 too?

Wow, I LOVE this car! So impressed with the build! A couple of questions if you don't mind:

  • which version of the D16 did you use?
  • if you left the original intake on would it fit in the engine bay without mods?
  • how did you find braking without a booster given the increased power?

Cheers

Simon

I'm sure Brian will chime in, but I'll answer these questions I can since I built the kit:

Wow, I LOVE this car! So impressed with the build! A couple of questions if you don't mind:

  • which version of the D16 did you use? D16A6 block.
  • if you left the original intake on would it fit in the engine bay without mods? No, you have to piecut the manifold regardless to clear the bulkhead, we supply those pre-made to make the install easier.
  • how did you find braking without a booster given the increased power? We run almost all the setups without a booster. It never bothered me with the 4 piston brakes.

Cheers
