Will be fitting a new oil pump at weekend have read important to prime it? How do I go about this.and with what?someone said grease?

Also if the reason you are fitting a new pump is low oil pressure don't be disappointed when after fitting your new pump you still have low oil pressure as you may have a serious underlying issue to contend with, camshaft, crankshaft bearings, worn cam followers, or rocker bushes are the worst, however on the simple side first check your relief plunger is freely moving in it's bore and lap in by hand if tight, don't use any lapping paste though just the plunger on a valve lapping stick should do.
