Can anyone recommend an electric sunroof not too expensive that will fit a mini ?

An old VW Polo OpenAir (or Ford KA, Renault Twingo mm) have sunroofs in right size.

Do you mean a glass one? The ones suggest above are all cloth ones.

Webasto made a glass one specifically for the MPi mini, the ones I've seen sell for 400-600.

Paid 40 for my wrbasto style folding vinyl roof. I like it and as its my car I'll do what I like to it. As should the chap at the top of the post.

Ive fitted one of the glass bmw panoramic jobbies and its not too hard. You will need to be able to weld and have the section of roof from the donor MINI. The donor roof carries the welded in support bracket for the glass roof.
Lots of filler work and preparation etc.

Thats where the lure of the fold back roofs works for me as they can be fitted relatively quickly without the need to repaint your roof etc and as youre asking for what appears to be a budget option I would go with the folding type.
Convertible driving without the downsides.
The genuine webasto type from a classic mini open is often quite an expensive option. Scour the scrappies. Ive used one from a fiat ciquecento? Before. Spellings prob wrong lol.

Its your mini and have fun with it, if we listened to people like the above poster life would be so boring and we'd all be the same...

I agree totally, I live in France where the summer days are boiling, and seeing as the car will only be going out when it's dry and sunny, I would like to release all that heat build up when I'm in it.

so you'll release the heat by removing the roof and then sit in the open sunshine and bake.

If you find one and need help with wiring etc get in touch. Some cars have the relay system built in to the loom making it difficult. I take a relay system out of a fiat. I can show you how to wire it up if/when youre ready

Like I said. Open it to let out the stiffling heat that we get here with doors and windows closed. Think about it long and hard, its not too difficult to understand. And yes I am a sun god and love it when the sun is shining.
