Hey man, sorry if you answered this later on in the thread, but did this turn out to be the correct firing order?
I've just fitted a brand new k1200 1380 into my car that's been built completely built for me by Specialist Components, but I'm having trouble getting a spark. The plug leads are currently fitted to the coil with plugs 2 and 4 swapped around (this is how they were when the engine was delivered), so I'm thinking that may be wrong for starters. I'm also only getting spark from ignition outputs 1 and 2. Nothing from 3 or 4. Would you say this has to be either a faulty coil or plug leads? Any advice would be much appreciated!

IT could be the coil,Depending on how far you would like to proceed I would remove the plugs and change over the 12 and 34 driver wires at the coil to see if the fault stayed on the same pair of towers. It could be a setting issue with the ECU or a Fault with the ECU.Electronic gubbins sure are fun.Steve..

That's a good shout! from what I can see on the coil plug there are 3 wires going into it (green, red, and orange) so how do I tell which ones are the 12 and 34? I've recently had the ECU tested by SC as I wasn't getting any spark at all, and they said they did find an issue which supposedly was resolved, but who knows, I may need to send it back to them again.

Hi,
Had the same problem of only getting spark on half the coil. Found I'd slightly bent the crank sensor pickup when installing it so it wasn't quite in the right place. Worth double checking this.

Hi there...... this static ignition is using a so-called wasted spark. When piston in cyl 1 is short before TDC and it needs to deliver the spark for combustion, another spark happens in the related cylinder which has its piston also short before TDC. That is cyl 4. So we have two pairs to do the trick: 1 plus 4 and 2 plus 3. How they show be connected to the static ignition coil is a matter of measuring. The outputs can be checked for connection by measuring resistance. Just an Ohm or so will be found while connecting two outputs. This outputs to be connected with the paired cylinders (1&4 or 2&3). If then the engine still does not want to run, simply swap the pairs from position on the coil.
