I have fallen back in love with car. There was a time that I didn't really trust it.

But it has worked flawlessly the last months.

A little niggle, I am sure it runs rich or maybe even lean ( I am not sure). The exhaust is fairy sooty and pops on overrun

Long time since any update!

The car performs perfectly.

It has been a busy week.

Started of by taking the mini to a large modified car show. I got accepted to be part of the show and shine area. I spent 5 hours machine polishing the car the day before, but when I arrived I quickly realised that I was in over my head. The cars there were amazing! proper show cars and trailer queens. Was amazing just to be part of it.

Tonight I had my first ever Trackday.

Was really fun and I cannot wait to go back. Lessons learned - I need a ton of practice, I need a bucket seat ( I could barley hang on) and I need better mirror ( I comment on this below).

The car performed way beyond my expectations.

I cannot believe how sticky it is in the corners, the 032R tyres help, but the car is totally planted. Though, I am struggling to hold on inside the car, it became a bit of an issue.

I really struggled to see out of my mirrors: the wing mirrors are poorly positioned and rear view mirror vibrates way too much. Over tacking is on the left at this track, and i couldn't see where the faster cars were coming from. This forced me to stick to the right side of the track, which was bit annoying.

Good atmosphere in the pits though, which I really enjoyed.

I thought I would add a video -

HAHAHA What are you implying?  :gimme:

Totally agree! Though, I think some mirrors that I can actually see out of will vastly improve my experience and positioning on the track. I didn't dare deviate too far for the right hand side of the track.

For sale is my classic mini which has has a BMW K1100 engine conversion. I bought the car as a shell with a log book which states that car is a mini neon so this is the original colour of the car but as I only had a shell I then sourced a J plate Mini Cooper single point injection with a very rough shell as a donor car. So the trim, gearbox and anything else I could use came from the cooper. Over the next year or so the shell had new front panel, front wings, A panels, door skins, boot floor, inner and outer sills, door steps, scuttle corners including closure panels and any other welding that wa required two make this shell strong enough for this engine conversion. I then refabricated the bonnet to allow for the slightly higher twin cam pulleys, prepped and re sprayed to original colour. As I'm a car painter by trade it is clear by looking at pictures the standard of my work. Meanwhile on the bench I started on the engine, A+ block board to 1380, 11000 mile K1100 LT bike head, professionally machined to fit the block, balanced crank and rods, new big ends, mains, cam bearings, jack shaft, omega pistons to suit conversion, oil pump and water pump. After building the short motor I then started spending the real money at specialists components, in total £3000 for mappable ECU, K conversion kit, jack shaft, wiring loom, plug leads set, 4 branch exhaust manifold, remote thermostat housing and lots more. After then rebuilding the gear box and fitting a mini sport 4 pin dif, turned my attention back to the shell, reconditioned front and rear sub frames including radius arms, front top arms, new bottom arms all new bushes, operated brakes (metro four pots on front with new discs and new calliper and new braided hose kit) alloy finned drums on the back and gaz adjustable shocks rand High lows all round. Adjustable camber caster brackets on rear, heavy duty adjustable tie bars then put it all together then sat it on 13 inch J6 new alloys (although I now run it with J7s on rear but all 6 wheels will come with it so that you have the choice. Again, there will be lots I've lforgotten as I've done so much, so please feel free to ask.
Thanks for the interest, please ring for anymore info as I built this mini to take to shows and chat to people all day so I'm quite willing to give as much info as required. Whether you are interested in buying or just building one yourself I'm happy to help if I can.
If anybody can see anything I've missed, let me know and il try add to description

if it may help anyone out there I would consider a part exchange. tell 01524846480 07836367856
