Maybe I try and hold the cam pulleys with this tool, while I tighten the bolt

Cam bolts on torqued up now.

I am now thinking about which air filter to use.

individual cone filters will work, but then you can use the ram pipes.

So I am looking at domed foam panel filters from ITG and Pipercross (piper cross being half the price)

I know SC sell a domed ITG filter.

However, I am struggling with the throttle cable bracket, since it seems it will be in the way of most filters.

Leave it till the engine is in the car. As there is bonnet issues to consider as well.

Having a bit of trouble working out the wiring. In particularly the SPI really packs

I have them on the bench. Basically, it is a separate loom with the main black really box, one of the yellow relays and the connecter which sits beside the yellow really.

This loom had a couple of the old  ECU sensors and a I guess a 12v feed.

All the old ECU parts have been cut off, leaving a wire from the main really for the O2 sensor and a wire from the yellow really for try O2 sensor. Can i just remove these from the relays? I assume this won't effect any thing thing else?

That K&N looks mega. I've got ITG sock filters on mine, but they are ripping. This might be an option. Have you considered a plenum chamber?

I have, though I haven't really been able to source one. I think ITG do a nice plenum.

Yip that K&N looks great, though I dont think you can use the ram pipe

did you know SC make one? I do like the K&N though, I may go down that route.

agreed, I think the K&N route would be a great solution. Will look and sound brilliant.

Looking at the engine breathers.

I plan to use the normal crankcase breather with a breather filter on the top.

However there also seems to be a breather on the rear on the oil drain box, where does the breath to.

Also on the cam plate there is a large outlet (oil from the oil drain box) but there is also a smaller outlet just above the larger. anyone know what this is?

I have their build guide, but it states very little.

Basically says a breather is needed on the oil drain box, but no more details.

I will check again later but I don't think the guide even mentions the the smaller outlet on the cam plate.

Or did you mean other info?

The large outlet on the front plate connects to the rear drain box via 3 x 90 deg hoses and straight joiners. I do believe that SC now do a one piece hose. The smaller hole on the front plate vents to preferably a catch tank, but worth while checking regulations.

Cheers Andy!

I have the hose kit for the large oil outlet and also the lower radiator hose. Seems like at 85 pounds it was a bit of a bargain and time saver.

would the catch tank also connect to the breather outlet on the oil drain box?
