Ever wished you went forced induction?

You mean instead of the 16v?

Would never have got it through a registration inspection.

Saying that I have looked into what can be done in the future with this set up

Really? Bummer. What's the law over there. My supercharged set up passes a modern cars emissions level on an mot.

Finally got the seal out, seal looks fine with no notable damage.

However perhaps the issue was that the seal almost blocks the oil drain channel.

SO I have a new seal fitted in the cam plate and have filed the part of the seal which was blocking the drain channel.

Just as I went to fit it, i noticed that the oil drain hole isn't real a hole on the block side.

I guess that this is how it should be.......

The smaller of the holes is for the bolt.

Isn't there a slot on the back of that plate that goes to the breather hole.

There is a slot in the round plate.

Do you mean there should be a slot in the larger engine plate also?

As you can see the behind the larger hole is in fact just the block, do you mean there is a slot there also?

Not sure if anyone os still following this. It is a bit doom and gloom  :nuke:

Struggling to find time with the new school term starting. I managed an hour or so tonight, I refitted the cam plate and seal etc. I replaced the cam shaft "triangle plate" as the one which came out was well worn. Not sure if it matters, but i changed it anyway.

Then I went to refit the layshaft pulley and noticed it had split....

A bit concerned about that. I think it might damage the oil seal is it is. Maybe that is the cause of the leak?

You're not having an easy ride with this Craig. Is that an SC part?

I know! Yeah it is the SC pulley.

Not sure whether to fit it or not. I asked on the twin cam mini Facebook group and that part butts top against the triangle plate so shouldn't be an issue. but unsure.

Everyone will have an opinion, mine is, I'd change it. Ring John and ask him if he'll do you a deal.
