Trying to tidy up my wiring today.

it is a bit of a mess, it has been retro fitted with additional wiring for DLR lights. which i will have to keep. I haven't quite got my head around it yet, but as it seems: looks like the original light wires run into a double relay, they really also connects to the starter and the alternator.

Also I have seen pictures of the SC conversion and they have retained the SPI/MPI really packs, is that the case? or I was I dreaming?

You can have the DRLs on a switch or even just have the wiring as normal and you turn your dip lights when driving.

I got man a flash when I had forgotten to turn them on.

I would not be too concerned.

Maybe it will be simpler to return them to normal.

When I had the car in the UK I was flashed all the time for having my lights on. Was sitting at a set of traffic lights and a guy knocked the window to tell me my lights were on.

High flow cats -

I understand that there is a slight performance benefit, but is there any emissions benefits?

If you look at the specs a lot of the high flow cats they have a cpi (cells per inch) of 100 or 200 which gives then greater flow but gives less time and surface area for the cat to do it's job, the guy tuning my conversion was suspicious of any aftermarket cat. OEM cats are generally around 400cpi depends on what spec ie euro 2, 3, 4.

Spent the afternoon cleaning and degreasing the engine bay.

Took a bit of time and a whole pile of clothes, brushes and rags, but turned out alright (i think)

Also gave the subframe fresh coat of paint.

Alloy "chinese" radiator arrived today, after my initial inspection i was fairly impressed with it. However the cowling didn't fit over it, it fouled in various places. Meaning the bolt holes would never line up.

I was felling brave, so I set about the cowling with my new angle grinder. First time I have ever used one (so i was fairly cautious)

Looks good, I'd also be interested on lead time as I am getting really tempted by this kit!
