Normally its the blue crimp, bullet or butt connectors and these for behind the grill/headlamps etc... http://www.ebay.co.u...sd=141843858606

What crimping tool do you use for those linked connectors?

Repairing an old wire?
I prefer to solder rather than introducing another connector into the circuit. Use heat shrink insulation.
Is the wire is free rather than loomed up, I prefer to replace the entire length.

I try to avoid pre-insulated (coloured) crimps. They do not provide enough mechanical support to the cable as they only crimp to the conductors and not the insulation.
Uninsulated terminals crimped with decent tools give a much more reliable joint.

You don't you a tool for crimping those, they are meant for multiple bullet connects like the ones find for the headlamp loom behind the front grill to be plugged into.
As for crimping tools, I prefer to use these for wire stripping... http://www.ebay.co.u...t0AAOxy0NtTF2Gr
and these for crimping... http://www.ebay.co.u...G8AAOSwhcJWQyle

Sorry, I should have been more specific, I meant for the bullets which connect into them. I found them on the sellers shop.

The proper ones need soldering on, I prefer to use the crimp on type for quickness.

Thanks guys.
It was more for when a male bullet end has come away from the wire.
I have those crimp tools - wouldn't do any wiring without them.

Which un-insulated bullets do you use and from where,
ChopperHarris
I do the same :)

Be aware that the original Bullets are a different size to any of the current Crimp type Bullets. This isn't an issue if you're replacing / fitting both sides, but will be if you want to fit one to the other.
