Hi Lo's Front Adjustment Lock Nuts Which Way Round

Best Answer jcab , 26 January 2016 - 09:40 AM

ok i take it the bottom nut is fixed .. lock top nut to trumpet.
got it thank you. appreciated.

There is a trumpet a bolt and a nut. The nut is an optional extra and was never provided in the original versions and should be removed if needed to get the car lower.

The bottom hex head is what you turn to adjust the height.

Yes thankyou i have adjusted the bottom nut which turns the bolt in the Trump adjusting its height .(set up high for road use) I then tightned up the top nut against the trump this has now locked into postion ..so seems fine . thanks again.

Only really one way to lock any nut. And in this case onto the trumpet.

There is only one nut per side.

Once you have set the height use it to lock the bolt off.

Is there a thread in the main body ('trump') section of the Hilo or is it just a plain hole?

Hi thanks for your assistance ..There must be a thread in the (Trump) The bottom nut is what seems to adjust the height so i set it up and tightened up

the top nut to trump this has now locked up so it should be fine now.

I was not clear of which side i should tighten up to lock this into position . but sorted now.

thanks
