Mine isn't, I've got a 318d sport company car and a 2009 Boxster.  Mini is used at least once a week and when I take a week off work, I'd say it gets used the most out of my cars.  I had a Paul Smith that was my daily for 7 years, no issues at all.

I use my 72 clubman as my daily driver even got seatbelts fitted in the back so I can take the kids out in it. I love driving it so why would I leave it in a garage.

Why not use it as a daily indeed?

I did until 1996 when I got a new job 70 miles from home, mostly motorway driving. I had a 6 month old 1995 Spi Sprite at the time which felt so modern and refined compared to my other mini, an 1987 City, but filling the tank every 150 odd miles was a pain, 4 gears at motorway speeds, poor ventilation, no stereo etc etc just didnt make sense so it was traded against a 1994 Peugeot 405 GLD which was the perfect commuter, (until I got the Turbo D version).

That was my last daily mini driving although my wife ran a new Mpi Sportspack Cooper in 1998 for a few years until children came along to spoil it!

These days Mini-ing is purely for pleasure and its a treat, the basic no frills, noise, smells, bumpiness, dim lights.

I was driving home from a late shift the other night in the VW Tiguan, marveling at its spec and ability, 2.0 Tdi, 177 bhp, 4 wheel drive, dual zone climate control, bi xenon cornering headlights, auto wipers, lights, reverse camera, electronic parking brake, hill hold, self parking blah blah blah and wondering, do we really need all this tech? It is night and day different from a Mini though!
