Bought it that way, changed it round tonight and now the top of the fan fouls the housing (when stationary). Of course, im not entirely sure whether it did this before when on the wrong way round....but basically, is there ANY way that turning it round could affect how it sits?

OK, so apparently it doesn't aid cooling if your rad fan is on the wrong way round...go figure?

there's two ways to look at this... the std fan ( engine side ) is designed to blow air through the rad... therefore should the auxillary fan suck, to work in unison with the main fan in extracting the air, or blow to induce cooler air from the wheel arch through the rad ( bearing in mind this would then be against the air flow produced by the main fan )

Seriously though, two fans blowing against each other arent going to do anything whereas one blowing through the rad and one sucking on the other side is going to increase the air flow over the rad vanes and therefore aid the cooling.
