Thanks everyone - I've sent a couple of emails out asking for blasting prices. The shell has no front end doors or boot lid and I also don't want the floors or roof doing so not very much left!

HI there yes def worth doing a run a resto and blasting company, it make welding etc so much easier and nicer as said above make sure the company you use are very used to blasting car as it can go very wrong very fast otherwise, you def want it put straight in to primer you will find anywhere you touch it will rust on it in a matter of days ( i dont rate zink primers as i find they can cause problems with filler and other primer etc) we generally try and get stuff in to epoxy primer..  mini arnt to bad for media getting trapped, they should give a good clean out..

why not the floors? even if new its good base for paint..if existing ?????
