Had this Honda qr50 bike for some time sitting around finally got abit of time to strip clean it up and get it in its original colours as previous owners have messed around with it. I started stripping it last week and in the week I have painted the parts. Today I have put most of it back together but needs plastics painting. Here is some pictures thanks Tom

Brings back memory's of when I used to rebuild Honda monkey bikes ( all road legal ) , I used to import them from the USA ... Sometimes full bikes and sometimes just buy the parts ..... I built a 140cc using a takegawa spec Honda engine that I used and built for myself and had over 80mph out of it .... Built using a billet aluminium frame and wheels

I keep dropping hints to the Mrs as I would love to get back into building them

Keep up the good work tom

Cheers james

Cheers mate yeah chap ino up the road does the old monkey bikes and the Kawasaki ones he imports them and does them up and sells them on they are getting hard to come accross now. Next stage on this is to repaint the plastics but what's the best method to use on the gas tank as I heard petrol will peel it back of if spilt on.. Cheers tom

Cool tom.... Watch it don't fall over onto your car :0).... Whatever you do don't get into the monkey bikes..... They will drain all your money and are very addictive !!!!! Especially when you get into the takegawa engines .... Been there lol

That would be ace if you can share the photos. If I ever come across a cheap Honda again ile buy it as they are becoming rare little sought after bikes.
