Time served mechanical aircraft engineer. Recently promoted to team leader. We build Hawks. (Same aircraft as the red arrows)
Wasn't aware they still made hawks! Sounds like an interesting job though!

Drainage Engineer for Thames Water best job iv ever had which I guess you wouldn't expect someone of works with foul water all day to say but its pretty good. I keep my van at home so just start work from my house and just go round doing jobs as and where i am needed, They provide me with all kinds of training.
ooo Thames Water friend
haha I see you live in abingdon where abouts do you work then? The yard I run out of is in Kiddlington although I don't go there much as I keep the van at home,
Luckily, I'm on the clean side I work at Farmoor res, I'm not allowed to take a van home, so the mini is the daily!

Hawk T2 (AJT) is now in service. Great aircraft! Avionics are night and day against what the T1 had.
Domdee - I take it you work at Warton?

I work as a commercial Building Surveyor.
My day can vary from measuring and CAD drawing a simple factory unit, to weekly site visits meetings in a boardroom with clients building landmark properties.
Every day is different, every problem has a different solution. Id say it has a good level practicality with a good level of communication.
