Licenced certifying Engineer for a popular Airline. My signature is the one that says the plane is fit to fly so not much responsibility, just a bucket load. O_O  O_O

I always found a roll of speedtape to be very handy when on a flightline!

Yup but now it has to be type specific believe it or not. With have Boeing Speedtape and Airbus Speedtape. One wide and thick the other thin and flexible. Daft really but still both good. One is just a pigging sod to apply well.

I'm just starting a PhD researching materials for nuclear fusion reactors. Basically we're trying to make a device to contain a 150,000,000 degree plasma, survive incredibly intense neutron irradiation, and continuous heat fluxes comparable to the nozzle of a space rocket.

For me the next four years will be spent using electron microscopes, particle accelerators, mechanical testing rigs, and hours and hours of polishing.

i have an extremely dull job; I work I provide security support to a European defence contractor ensuring compliance to all kinds of law.

I would like to retrain and do have some cash available to do so, but don't want to start again in a new trade and take a big pay cut as we are about to get married, but a house and start a family - so not ideal timing.

I started my own web and graphic design company in June this year. :proud:

Prior to that, I was a Marketing & Business Development manager. I ran the marketing, IT and web departments. I say managed. I WAS the marketing, IT and Web department. Hence why I no longer work there. ;)

Project Manager at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.

Started as an apprentice with BMW 14 years ago. Haven't looked back since.

Unashamed plug here.... If anyone is interested in an apprenticeship, RR is going to recruit their largest intake in 2016, so keep your eyes peeled and get your application in.
