Cheers, again for letting me borrow it, ill have a work with my mum and see when she can drop it back to you, when would be best for you?
Well she has her new heart now and my good shes a goodun, shes giving 140psi in all 4 pistons, no clutch slipping and as far as i can tell no gearbox cruntches, not bad for a £100 delivered ebay engine

Well progress couldnt have been much harder today, anything that could have gone wrong went wrong lol.
First up i plumbed in the cooling system and it was leaking from everywhere, so i got a lift to twon, brought some new hoeses, changed them over, then the thermostat was leaking, so i took that off, cleaned up the face and fitted a new gasket, then i realised the heater take-off was leaking a very small amount, so i changed the gasket (had to do the heater take-off twice as i found it was warped, so i swapped it for another one.
I then fitted the drive shafts, hubs, etc... back on and found that half the offside boot was missing, so luckly i had a spare in my tool box, so i swapped that over, i then got the manifolds fitted and realised that it was about 1mm away from the pot joint and coverd half the gaiter, so it was just chewing it up, so i got some spare steel and made up a new lower exhaust bracket, as the current one wasnt holding the manifold far enough away, so i got that fitted and clearance was then perfect

But on the Pluss side i found out last night when i got the subframe mounts fitted that quick relise subframe mounts are muchin fagic!!! Saved me some much time where i would usually spend ages getting the mounts to line up with the holes. Wish i bothered to get them off my shelf with the lest engine re-build i did lol.
Also had a bit of a head scratch when it came to wiring up the starter motor lol, but all went perfect after i drew myself a lil diagram lol. I then came to find when i fitted the front that the starter sits further forward to the front that the earlyer starter motor so is touching the grill... Dont ask me why, its not even the wires its the actually body of the starter... lol
Also there was no rocker cover cap so i made this little baby up
Looks so much better in person than in the pic, but i was pleased with it concivering it cost me about 50p lol:

But atleast its in now, tappets adjuted, timing set, and carb tuned

And on the pluss side not a drop of oil either

Not bad for £100 delivered i say

Quick, drop an 850 before the conversion, then you'll have had them all. All standard sizes and a 1380

This one wont make her bum black either!

Was in a bit of a rush, so the whole painting process only took me an hour, that included all the prep, priming, and then final paint lol, but the finish on them turned out to be prety good to be honest:

Also sprayed the underside of my clubby bonnet:

Passanger side rear fitted:

Driver side done:

Passanger side done:

And finally the old bonnet went back on, was a bit scratched up, but i gave it a quick flat back and buff and it came out like new (that was done ater the pic was taken though lol):
