Well today we got more done.
Fitst up i went out to try and find a replacement bolt for the ball joint, well i went to one hardware shop and they didnt have one, so they sent me somewhere else and again they didnt have one so then they sent me a different place, then that place sent me a different place, then i was sent to another shop, and then i was sent to a final shop, Which i will just add all the shops were in different towns, and not one of the shops had a bolt, so i ended up just going to a scrap yard and taking one off a mini in there. So after over 2 hours of driving round i finally got hold of a bolt lol.
I then came back and cleaned up the edges of carbon fiber parts, so all the edges matched the parts, so for example the parts could now be fitted, but still need to be flatted back and lacqured.
Dom then turned up and helped me with some sanding on one of that archescheers mate. So we got the arches flatted back and progesively sanded in finer grade paper. I then sanded back the dash using a DA, i then flatted it back using wet and dry using finer and finer grade paper.
We then got the drivers side drive shaft in and got the ball joint nut on and torqued up.
After this i realised that i had forgotten to fit the calpiper retainer bracket, but i didnt have a clue how this went on as mine only has one clip, where as the pics i looked at on here had 2, so i tried two different ways, but i think iv worked it out now.
We then set out about fitting the gear linkage, but the bolt for the top rod arm was in an awkward position, so i wouldnt get it in, so we dropped down the linkage and this gave me the bit more movement and i was able to get it in position, i then went to drift the pins back in, but after trying for about 20 mins i just couldnt get the selector fork in the correct angle, so i coulnt get that pin in, ill have another go tomorrow.
I then went to fit the exhaust and found that my link pipe is about 5 to 6 inches to long for this back box, so ill cut that down tomorrow and hopefully get the exhaust on.
I then trimmed up the bonnet and started to sand that down, but as it was such a large flat surfact it was taking a long time and i have only managed to get 1/3 done, but i will hopefully get that finished tomorrow.
I also recived some more carbon fiber through the post today, i also recived a pair of floor panels that i will be using to cut patches from, so if i can sort out the linkage and get the axhaust fitte ill get it on all its wheels and push it up to my house, and ill get the floors welded up
So lets hope for good weather tomorrow. Hopefully ill get that done tomorrow
Hopefully Dom will update with pics at some point.

Yea i go to Manwoods school thats why in sandwich all the time lol.
With my wheels i ahve a 1/2" spacer on the fronts and i had to grins a slight bit off the caliper, but if i went for 3/4"-1" spacer i think i wouldner have had to grind some off the caliper.
There is an old thread on here somewhere showing you how you do it. il try and find it and post it up.![]()
