From personal experience of rover k-series engined cars I'd highly advise against one, 3 out of the 4 I've had suffered major HGF probs. I've heard the later ones were much better, but still a major design flaw.

 All you needed to do was replace the headgasket for one with metal dowels instead of plastic ones,... and possibly fit an auxillary thermostat.

K-series was also used by Lotus, there are plenty of cars using K-series (there's even a 1.4 making around 200bhp) and lots of them are minis.

TomF,.... car's looking shexshy!!!!

Thanks mate  Im well happy with it, the paint went on really well, no runs, not hardly any dust got in it, im well happy :sneaky:.

Yea well as im moving house im going to lost my garage but as soon as i can sort out another garage, ill be buying a mini to start the k-series project, ill get the body work done on that then on with the k-series it will be :-. Im really looking forward to that project now.

That one will be de-bumpered, and have the side 4 seams taken off, and maby the frant and rear rood seams, but the side seams will be left, because of water issues.

Then once the rest of the rust and bits are sorted ill fabricate the metro frame, ill probs have this done before this point though lol.

Then for this project ill have a go at spraying it myself :D

but anyways iv still got it finish this one first lol.
