I guess i could fit it to my cooper engine but im not sure if it would be worth the effort now... Especially as if i can find somewhere to work im planning on doing a K-series conversionl.
Well i guess i should gather the part and fit it after all the effort to get the unit to the uk.

Ok well we got quite a bit done today

We gave the doors a few skim fills where there was a few dents, nothing major really, then used the DA to take that back and make it all smooth.

I then got working on the scuttle using the DA whilst Paul was filling where the rear bumper seam had been removed and filling the rear light conversion plates.
I gave the scuttle a quick skim over when i welded the little tabs in where there are usually some grommets, then DA'd that all back.

Paul then finished the filling on the back and made a rough shape with the DA and used a block and shaped that all up nicely.

I then used the DA to take back all the paint, ready for the primer.

We then masked everything up ready to get the primer on

We then mixed up the primer and hardener and Paul got spraying

Paul then let me have a go and showed me how to do it all properly

We gave the shell two coats of primer, Paul will do the bonnet boot and door tomorrow morning, whiles it getting my AS results

yea but for the k-series i would either use the standard ECU or use megasquirt lol. Well ill hold on to it as i dont want to get rid of it after all the effort getting it in the first place lol. And ill try and get the EDIS stuff and ill try and customize a damper to use
.
From personal experience of rover k-series engined cars I'd highly advise against one, 3 out of the 4 I've had suffered major HGF probs. I've heard the later ones were much better, but still a major design flaw.

Yes it does mean i got more done since the last update but not the top coat, because we cant get down to where we are spraying the mini on the weekend, so if i put the top coat on we wouldn't be able to flat it back and buffer up tomorrow...
Since the last update the doors, boot and bonnet had their final skims of primer put on and then they were put in primer.

I then went round all the inner arches, sills, under the rear vallance, rear subframe, floor pans, etc... with stone chip.

We then flatted back the front end, put that in primer, we also put the MK1 grill tash thing in primer.

We then got the dash and center console in paint, so they are done

Then once they were done we got all the visible inside bits in paint.

Im getting really exited about this being finished now

Its finally in colour

Well everything was painted today

First off i re-located the side repeat or to the a-panel.

We then flatted back the primer.

We then painted inside the boot, bonnet, flip front, and doors. (only got a pic of the flip front)

We then left them for go off, and turned them over and Paul got painting on them.

Paul then got started on the main body
