just had a look through your project for the first and gotta admit well done for never giving up, seems like your havign alot of fun doing it too, so looking forward to the next installment,

Yea im haveing great fun doing this porject, its all a learning curve for me really >_<, if the weather is good ill de-seam the rear end on the weekend, then ill finish off the doors and start prepping it. Then ill send it away to have the prep work finished and then sprayed up :P

However i have just recived an email from someone else i contacted and they said that they have a 3/4 length rag top webast sunroof and they only want 100 for it so im going to buy that aswell the put it on ebay lol and make some money :mrcool:

Sorry just some to-do notes...

Car part things to do:
  • Fit Flip front hinges
  • Fit Duez fasteners
  • Fit my smooth fiberglass rear valance, then fill over.
  • Remove my glass sunroof
  • Cut the majority of the roof off.
  • Strip everything off the mini.
  • Send it away to get sprayed Jet Black and white
  • Re-fit the things i took off
  • Fit my full length electric rag top sunroof :P
  • Receive megajolt in the post, sent for the amazing Miniboo :) (Thanks :P)
  • Sort out the megajolt and wire it up.
Engline parts list to do and done:
  • New cranks bearings
  • clutch/flywheel cover with bolts
  • Lightened and balanced clutch and flywheel
  • New water pump
  • New fuel pump
  • Engine breather
  • Oil cooler
  • oil pump
  • 2 core radiator
  • duplex timing gear
  • Phase 3 cam
  • Swiftune cam followers
  • Double valve springs
  • A full set of engine gaskets
  • Dip stick
  • Large water pump pulley
  • Full hose set
  • Rocker cover.
  • MegaJolt Lite Jr. (MAP sensor option)
  • EDIS 4 modular
  • coil pack
  • VR Sensor
  • Cranks pulley wheel adjusted and have a timing wheel fitted to it.
  • VR sensor custom bracket.

I just won some corbeau bucket seats on ebay :P that come on mini sub frames, for the absolute bargain price of £43.50 :)

And they are unused but were brought a while back and have just been stored :P

I cant belive how much of a bargain i got :D if they didnt have the subframes i would still think the price was cheap, but with the mini frames what a bonus lol :P

:thumbsup: I RECIVED THE WEBASTO SUNROOF TODAY AND ITS ABSOLUTELY MINT CONDITION :P :P :cry:

Now all iv got do do is work out how to fit it and try to keep my headlining in tact so i can mod it to fit the webasto sunroof :ermm: Well at least i wouldn't be fitting a whole new headlining that way.

Well i finally got to do some work on the mini, i mounted the front end on the hinges, but when the front is in place the edge of the wing doesnt line up with the a-pannels.... Could this be a problem with how i have mounted the hinges? If i dropped the front down a bit would this sort out my problem or would this just ruin the way the front is mounted?

Well first off i chopped a big hole in my roof today, lol but iv still got a bit of trimming to do to get the sunroof to fit how i want it to. Ill try and get out and do this later. and ill try and take some pics.

Also tomsbluemini came round and we changes his knuckles, and i finally got round to fitting the front hi-lows that i got from the one and only minimadme >_< i told you i will fit them one day lol :thumbsup:
