No you need some proper structure in there to support the pedal box. Check out Charlies thread for his last car. Clicky

I know they are floor mounted I know you wouldn't actually attach them to the bulk head lol
I just wanted to know how much clearance there was between the toe board and the master cylinders. But as you sit quite far back in the car I take it it's not much of an issue.
Is there anything you would need to do to the floor in order to strengthen it or just a matter of using large washers to spread the load out ?
As mentioned in the above reply, you need some kind of structure there. Endaf has done my
New one a different way this year. I will add photos when i collect the car

If I use some box section and make up some brackets to pass the bolts through and weld them to the box section then weld the box section to the tunnel inner wing and the floor would this be ok. Or can I just weld some box section or thick flat bar to the floor wider than the pedal box and pass bolts through to a captive spreader plate underneath ?
Sorry for the questions just want to know before I buy all the stuff and get on with it.

Its been a while since i last posted... 2 reasons.. we wanted to keep some of the bits off the internet until the autosport show and we have been absolutely manic with trying to get the car ready. owens fabrication have done great job of the cage and fabrication, the real mini company have done all the bodywork and I'm chuffed to bits with it. we have gone down a different route to last years car and tried to keep everything clean and uncluttered , minimalistic. Fusion Fabrications have made up an exhaust and inlet for us try on the Dyno with KAD, looking forward to making steps forward in 2016.
we had our awards evening last weekend - and received trophies for 10th in championship, best prepared car (last seasons car) & best newcomer.
car is now back in the garage and the first test day is booked for 4th march , lots to do before then !
