Right well I spent pretty much the whole of my evening removing my pedal box which was slightly seized but never mind got it out after a lot of swearing and unseized it without any trouble, so that's all ready for modification sometime for cable clutch,

Then I slopped some primer onto my frame just to keep the rust away :)

Also my new brake master cylinder turned up today :) so can start plumbing my brakes back in soon, my Suzuki swift alternator also turned up but no one was in to sign for it :(

Fitted the frame today roughly

Then realised that I'd have to remove the tower bolts again in order to fit my suspension :(

We are rolling :D

Bought some KAD calipers 2nd hand on eBay like 5 months ago for £210 but when they arrived they came with practically new discs and green stuff pads :) and a full hub assembly lol but upon further inspection they've got strange hoses, anyone seen anything like this before ?

38034638022_63ee68ed03_n.jpg

Anyway I thought I'd just remove the hoses and swap them for the ones on my old metro 4 pots but turns out that's a different thread as well so now I've got to wait for some standard mini hoses to turn up :( so I couldn't finish plumbing in my brakes but got all the tricky bends done just need to make a long pipe that will go over to the passenger side front brake.
Soon as my new braided hoses turn up I can finish off my brakes but in the meantime the engine can go back in :) so that I can sort my gear shift out

How close will your frame be to the road?

Will be interesting to see looks good. The frame I made for the 1.8mini it sat 25mm lower than the floor pan line and that was close to the ground car wasn't stupidly low either

The way I see it modern cars are quite low and the lowest part of my frame is right next to the wheels but we shall see haha can always do part time work in the winter as a snow plough ;)

Well it's in!

38034762162_e2a61507c3_n.jpg

Clearance from the floor is 100mm at the lowest point of the subframe but this is with the hi Los as low as they will go obviously it will be higher but even with it this low the frame will clear the floor even if I was driving on my bump stops
New brake pipes turned up this morning so shall finish brakes tomorrow after work, all in all very happy with tonight's efforts

Hi-lo's should go much lower than that, you got a big gap between the arms and bump stops.

Well the only way they'd go lower is if I took the locking nut off ! It's got new(ish) rubber doughnuts fitted which are settling slowly, I don't want it really low anyway spec I'll higher it up as I've got about 2" of travel before it will hit the bump stop which doesn't seem like much
