Scrap went up in price so decided to get rid of the donor micra lol kinda needed a longer trailer

Hey guys so it's been a while since I've done much to the mini but plans have changed slightly, I've decided that I still want my back seat to be usable so I've had to relocate my fuel filter into the boot

I then had to make a metal cover so that the rear seat wouldn't squash my fuel pipes, ended up making it out of an old galvanised water tank

Hey, not sure if anyone's still following this but I've fitted my front seats but didn't take any pics and since then have been losing all faith and motivation because I still have no drive shafts, I've fallen out with the guy doing them simply because he wasn't even attempting to finish them so I've decided to get some shafts made from scratch by DRD Racing and they should be here in a few weeks. then perhaps things will get moving again

Yep all mine will be transferred then my account deleted, as for my various build threads I can't be bothered going through hundreds of posts RR linking photos

I just upload the pics to here, works fine if theyre smaller in size. What I do is download the pics I already put on the Facebook page, and they upload to here perfectly. Saves me resizing them, must be done automatically on facebook.

Hi all haven't updated this for ages mainly because of having to change every single photo over to Flickr but i was ill and off work today so all the photos are sorted now :)

 

Right then, The mini ended up having the engine completely removed followed by the bulkhead being stripped n re-painted, i also added in some carbonfibre

 

 

The main reason this happened was because my brand new driveshafts got made to the wrong lengths due to a mix up of measurments which was nothing to do with me, so i had to do something whilst i waited.

 

Everything refitted

 

 

Now this was a few days before castle combe Mini action day so i booked an MOT and carried refitting bits until the morning of the MOT arrived, i refitted my front end and went to check all my lights worked and surprise surprise they didn't and in a manic rush to find the problem the headlight fell onto the floor smashing into bits so i cancelled the MOT and decided to put it back into hibernation for a few months.

 

That's bassically all there is to report, i did take it for a little drive up n down the yard and it certainly put a smile on my face :) pulls very well only issue is slightly sticking throttle cable n small water leak so some easy fixes.

 

That will be it for a while as me and my fiancée are saving for our wedding :)

So show season has started and my London 2 Brighton ticket came in the post which made me realise it's been ages since I've been near the mini. Since last time I've completely rewired the passenger side headlight loom and sorted out all the other lighting issues :) removed the old mini throttle cable as it was squashed causing the throttle to stick so I fitted the micra cable which works really well. Didn't get any pics as nothing really seemed worthy enough

Had a day off work today so seeing as the sun came out I decided to take the mini for a quick spin on some "private" roads as it's not tax'd or MOT'd soon found out that it had next to no brakes so have spent the evening re bleeding the system turns out had a massive air lock by the mester cylinder. Certainly goes well tho 😃 MOT in a weeks time ready for L2B fingers crossed
