Fair play on fitting the alt in under the exhaust but is that going to melt the plastic?

I remember my leccy fan was about that close and my exhaust melted the shiza out of it.

It will be heat wrapped eventually, my choke cable used to rest on my heat wrapped exhaust on the A series and it never melted the plastic coating :/

Slowly running out of things to do as waiting on parts to be delivered :(
Managed to fit the micra ignition switch and all the housings for the stalks onto the mini column.

If you need any heatwrap give me a bell. I've got some left from when I did mine. It's dead cheap stuff but works well, only issue is its colour fades from the heat. I think I've got just under a metre kicking around and some metal cable ties to hold it on.

Possibly. I'm not sure if you can do that as I know heat wrap has to be done tidily so it doesn't direct heat to certain spots if you know what I mean

How did you go about fitting the micra stalks and ignition barrel to the mini column?

The stalks just screw into metal tabs that I welded onto the column exactly the same as they do in the micra, as for the ignition that was pretty much the same just weld on some tabs so you can bolt it on and I'm sure if you really wanted to you could line up the steering lock so that it works also but I couldn't be bothered lol

Also stripped my driveshafts down so there ready for measuring and then I can get them sent off to be sleeved and welded :) and I might of found someone to make me an inlet manifold :)
