It was no problem. I've done it enough times and means you can get on with some other stuff tomorrow and not have to struggle getting it out.

I took this pic before we took it out

You did all the work mate, I just watched and learned. Hopefully I'll get a couple of hours on it tomorrow, I need to replace some O rings on a bath mixer tap, but at least that's something I can do

That's how you helped out. You made brews so that was fine with me. Glad I could pass some knowledge on

I'm going to finish my rear quarter welding tomorrow and hopefully get the dash rails all sorted and in primer along with anything else interior wise so I can get a bit of colour on in the form of a rattle can so I can put the roll cage in and just leave it in to paint the rest of the car

I'm willing to help out as long as brews are provided haha. You have a pretty decent shell to start with so won't take that long to do

Not a real update, but got some scrap sheet steel from James Eaton today, so gonna have a practice at mig welding on Friday before having a go at the GT, so hopefully have some decent progress pics soon, Jim

I doubt anyone was born a great welder. It will take time, but I am sure you'll master the skill :)

The first welds were awful. But they did get better. Just had a play with the settings
