The GT is now my daily, not ideal but needs must. Had to put the original deckchair seats back in because the Alfa seats effectively made it a 2 seater

Lots of jobs to do on it, first will be to raise the hi lows to allow 4 in at a time. Then a bloody good scrub, it's mingin after the Wirral to Llandudno run. I'll do some photos when I can work out how on my phone

why not keep the drivers seat with the Alfa seat and have the old Mini seat for the passenger seat? Then you get the extra rear leg room but are still comfortable as the driver.

Poor Holy Crap! has now been side lined after the new arrival of a daily, it proved to be a trusty work horse after my lease ended on my old car. 

 

I've got a few jobs to do now, replace the cone filter for a k+n in the original air box, oil/filter change, new dash liner, arch covers, put the alfa seats back in and finally put the fresh air ducts in

Never mind the important jobs like adjusting the clutch and rear brake drums in preparation for Wirral to LLandudno run next weekend, it's time to fit the dixie air horns

 

 

 

Just an hours work tomorrow to fit the toggle switch under the dash and it'll be good to go. My neighbours will hate me

Holy Crap! has been briefly recommissioned as a daily after blowing the turbo on my daily, which has highlighted a couple of issues. Rear brakes were binding so after a couple of hours greasing cables and quadrants all is good and i have a handbrake that actually works

 

And more worryingly an annoying misfire I cant get my head around. I've replaced plugs, leads, cap, arm etc all to no avail. Not touched carb or dizzy since it was set up on the rolling road

 

Today I've finally put the steering wheel on straight almost 5 years after putting it on lol

 

 

And I also give it it's first clean since January as I've reluctantly agreed to join the classic car show at the local summer show. need to get the polish out now

Starting to get the mini itch back. An unexpected day in the garage meant I finally replaced the leaky fuel filter I removed 3 months ago lol

While tidying up came across loads of stuff bought for the GT, some over 3 years ago. Door speaker pods, aerial, the stick on ones are crap, door weather strips, a coolant hose to replace the kinked one in the engine bay, a boot tray liner, dash liner and the original air box with a k+n element. So a busy time coming up. Can't wait
