So what was in the box?
Brake discs, pads, donuts, radius arms, top arm bearings, bump stops, door bottoms and skins, I already had rear back plates and mintex shoes off Jameseatonthewholething, clutch and brake master cylinders. handbrake quadrants and probably other stuff. Sorry no pies Panky
Then R Kid de rusted these and give them a coat of etch
I probably won't get back on it till the new year now but there's plenty to be going at

Back in the cave today, had a go at repairing the door bottoms, so cut out the crusty bits off
Then tacked the new piece in place and welded it up
The other door is pretty much the same, just need to fill in the bits magnum left out, while I was busy doing that R Kid gave these bits a coat of paint
So not a bad day in the garage even if it was P ing it down outside

Happy Days, back in the garage today. Finally finished the bits magnum kindly left off the door bottom repair panels. And this happened, I nearly shat my pants haha
Didn't think to take pics of the door repairs, offered the skins up and all's good.
I bought these bullet mirrors from John Brown Wheels at the mini fair, the fixing holes are a lot further apart than the holes on the new skins so will have to sort that before I fit the skins
Who needs to see behind you anyway..... I doubt there'd be much behind me haha

You can get adaptors for the holes jimmy to use the normal mounts on tex mirrors, not sure about those.
I'd mock them up and have a sit inside if you commit to drilling, as bullets like that can be useless for view
Looking great, bet you cant wait for paint! Mine are in bits atm aha

They were selling them cheap mate, probably cheap for a reason though, R Kid bought them for my birthday prezzie. The glass part does have plenty of swivel on it, we'll have to see.
Really want to drive it now, keep seeing loads of photos on facebook of all your cars lol

R Kid fitted the new bearings etc to the upper arms he stripped and painted, turned out well
And after watching Dave Jaguar do his door skins he also turned up with pack of silent coat sound deadening sheets, so we stuck a few to the skins, and cleaned up the inside of the doors a gave them a rattle can of gloss black we had lying around
The skins are quite heavy now, but the power to weight ratio seems irrelevant when we have a full English on a sunday morning blast haha
We get the engine back from the builders next week, I think a few evening sessions are on the cards
