Mate I bet that hurt like a pig, hopefully a speedy recovery and back on the car. I think the biggest bummer is that you can’t drink on antibiotics hahaha.

On a plus note the GT is the right way up again

So here's the progress we made before my unplanned trip to a+e, welded the cows ears under the scuttle ends, liberal amounts of seam sealer will be applied before paint
Then the offending subframe strengthening plate
And then we drilled the rivits to get rid of the ash tray, caused me no end of pain when doing the boot floor
And what's in the box?

Her arse was quite tidy as well, but I wasn't looking

Of course not haha, I hope you have a speedy recovery and get back on the GT soon.

Just a little tip, epoxy primer the bare metal before putting on the seam sealer.

I'll just be bolting the bare frame in place to line the front end up. Can't wait to have a rolling shell though
Nice I bet you cant wait to see it looking like a clubman again once that front end goes on...

We had a quick trial fit last time, I'm a bit worried about the fettling that's needed, you can get away with stuff under the car, but here everything will be on showNice I bet you cant wait to see it looking like a clubman again once that front end goes on...I'll just be bolting the bare frame in place to line the front end up. Can't wait to have a rolling shell though

I understand I am sure it will all come good mate, just take your time with it. Get all the panels on and lined up before any welding..

Had a couple of hours on the GT this afternoon, so this is what was in the box
A solid subframe mount kit from minispares. Check out the manly cups
Got the subframe on then had a go at lining the front end up
So that's where we left it, it's a mile out at the mo but a day fettling will sort it out, almost looks like a car again
