Had a few hours on the GT today, Got the last of the inner wing I left on last time after I sliced a couple of fingers haha.
We lined up the inner wing and had to fettle it a little, the holes seemed to be slightly in the wrong place. Got that sorted then had a mock up of the front end
Got a bit giddy but then had to take it all off again, drilled loads of holes in the inner wing, will be welded on next time...

Got the inner wing welded on this morning, nice day for it.
Next up is the scuttle, then we'll roll it over and do the heel board, should have done it earlier but I thought it was solid enough, but have now decided it needs replacing.
Then it's the scary bit, fitting the wings and front panel

Welded the scuttle on today, ran out of time before we could dress the welds back, so first job tomorrow is to annoy the neighbours haha
Then we'll roll it over and have a crack at the heelboard before we put the wings and front panel on

At least I got the heel board off today and the new one lined up and tek screwed in place. The excitement must have gotten the better of me because I forgot to take pics

Well it fits, tried it clamped up with the subframe in place all looked good, but due to an unfortunate mishap with a companion bin it's not welded
Maybe next time eh?
I thought you had done the full boot floor in the end, we are having to bite the bullet with Lizzys mini, this looks a bloody good fit. Any tips on fitting it?

Quite straightforward to fit really. Its position is governed by the rear arches and the heelboard. Lots of spot welds to drill and plug welds to do. I would recommend using genuine valance and close outs though, the magnum closeouts I used were crap

I agree on magnum panels, nothing of theirs ever fits.

Wow nice work. Reading this takes me back to when I was at this stage! If theres one thing I can recommend, its to fit the bonnet when you put the wings and front panel on to make sure it all lines up. I didn't do this and had some awkward gaps to deal with later. :)
