Then an almighty 2 steps back. Got too giddy with the makita last time and drilled 6 plug weld holes where there is nowt to weld to, time to crack out the welder and weld them up. Stupid is as stupid does!!
Then R Kid lined up the inner wing and clamped and screwed it in place for next time
No pics because I ran out of time

Had a few hours on the GT this morning. We must have had the inner wing off and on 10 times before we were happy (ish) with it's position. Well it isn't coming off again now
Then R kid cleaned the welds up as I put the kettle on
Gave the bare metal a coat of primer. I'll do the floor welds when it's back on its roof
I'll start removing the other inner wing now, an hour a night now the lighter nights are here, need to get the welding boxed off

Thanks for the compliment Ron. I'm just making it up as I go along. Good luck with yoursFantastic job Jim. Looking forward to seeing the front panels fitted now. Got to do more work on our GT all rust repairs though. Doing the drivers door last year tested my patience though. Well done on the superb effort. Watching with interest Ron.

Oooohhhh! What's in the box?
A passenger side inner wing and a heelboard.
I was surprised to see the inner wing had the cowling for the rad, I thought I might have had to order it separately. The heel board has a couple of strange plates over the where the steel was cut to shape the panel, looks like one of my bodges haha
Looks like R Kid is going to be busy
