Boot hinge panel is easy enough to do. I wish I had gone the half rear panel now but you can't tell any difference.

We'll be doing the half panel James. There's a load of small holes just below the rear window where a trim was riveted on, also 2 bigger holes, 1 for the ariel and one that had a lock, maybe for an eighties style alarm. For the extra money it's not worth messing about.
And no. We won't be done before you.... I might beat Daviewonder though haha!! Sorry Mr Wonder

That's a given, unless I pull my finger out soon.
I'm a bit of a lightweight though so I'm waiting for the warmer weather.

I do the jobs that need doing but nothing more.
Like the rainy Guy Fawkes night I fitted a clutch on my 205 out in the road whilst holding the torch in my mouth the whole time. Not something I'd be keen on doing again.

Trimmed and fettled the new piece to fit
And welded it on
Tried the boot lid in place and the fit was good so quite pleased how it went. Will dress the welds next time because I had to get the kids from school.
Technically speaking I did chill, It started snowing as I was about to fire the welder up

Had an hour to kill this afternoon before the kids came home, so after a chat with r kid we thought we'd better try the boot lid after replacing the rear bottom section panel a few weeks ago.
Fearing the worst ( after chopping the old piece out without taking proper measurements ) it actually fitted quite well. Phew!! can now weld the boot floor repair in
I've tried to upload more pics but photobucket is being a pain in the ricker and not letting me copy the images

Got the magnum boot floor repair panel welded in today, loads of fettling, would probably be easier to replace the whole floor
Learning as I go, plug welds got better, the later ones will take less dressing back
Couldn't resist clamping the rear valance in place.
Any suggestions how to remove the crappy black paint from the magnum panels? Wore a woven prep disc out getting it off the repair panel,
Next up the arches, or maybe the outer sills

Sometimes, the black paint on magnum panels can be washed off with thinners.
It does sand off easily though. Perhaps not so much applicable at home, but i use my air palm sander with an 80grit disc to remove the paint which works quickly
