Don't worry mate, got the panels for replacement, ran out of time though todayWow, that rust is scary. I do hope you have the new panels to replace that one.

Managed to get a few hours on the GT today. Now both outer sills are off I can see the extent of the rust, now I know why people say it'll always be worse than you think, so now it's gonna be both front floor pans, inner and outer sills, both door steps.
Hopefully we'll get some new metal in next week on my day off, lets hope my bracing holds up

My floor ain't shiny at all don't know what you are even talking about 😏. To be fair though mine was a lot worse than yours you will get it sorted though. Il need to pop round and have a look again mate

Had a few hours on the GT with R kid today. Got the front drivers floor cut out and the new floorpan fettled and fitting well, will be welded in next week on my day off.
Doorstep will be replaced at the same time. Feels good to be in a position to put new metal back in.
Started on the crustier side first so the other side should be quicker. Photos to follow

I think it's safe to say Jimmy can't weld ha ha. More practice needed before letting loose on the GT. Door step cut out and new one fettled ready to weld in once I master the fine art. Tbc
