Sorry for the photo dumps, just trying to bring it up to speed.
So then Lee and his boys got onto putting in all the new bits ad fabricating some really good repairs.

So fast forward another year after a few health issues! It was time to get the last bits done but unfortunately Lee couldn’t get me back in for a long time, testament to his quality that he is so busy.
Found a guy more local, in Wickford, who I found on Facebook and noticed has just worked a mini van. Dan at DPR autos finished off the last bit of welding and then painted it. He has done a fantastic job.

So to the present day I am now determined to get this project finished. Have got most of the bits to finish I think. I’m sure Minispares can help if I don’t.
Have put the rear loom in and the rear lights, rear number plate mounting then had to drop the subframe to get the fuel tank back in. Didn’t plan on spending too much time on the rear subframe as the drums and back plates were in good order and the bearings seem fine. But having dropped the subframe I started having a poke round and found the cones collapsed and badly corroded as well as the radius arm bearings failed on one side. The mountings were also perished so thought best to replace while it’s on the bench. The frame itself was in pretty good condition. Gave this to some guys at work who shot blasted and painted for me. Also cleaned up the trunnions and gave a lick of paint. Found the handbrake cable completely worn so got a new one of them too. And seeing as it was now all apart decided given the age that a new set of brake lines was in order too. Also got a new set of knuckle joints, hi-los and cones. So from planning on a quick once over, am now basically rebuilding the whole subframe.

So managed a few hours on it this week.
Have ran fuel and brake lines from the engine bay back to the rear. Refitted the subframe with reconditioned radius arms, new brake pipes and a new set of hi-los. New subframe mounts too. Was a bit of a pain getting it to all line up but got there in the end. Also mounted the electric fuel pump.
