The headlining is finished
I'm pleased with it especially as it's the first canopy type one i have done and with a sunroof to boot.
I did take some photos of the finished article but they didn't come out well enough to show it really.
Left to do is fit sunroof, fit bonnet, stick on stripes and bleed brakes then it's over to the customer to fit the remaining parts that he had removed before we started.
Cheers

Well the Golf has come to the end of it's time with us now.
It will be over to the customer now to finish off the rest which is mainly the glass, bumpers, trims and lights, all of which were removed before we started.
Thanks for looking. The next restoration starts tomorrow and there will be a separate thread for it if anyone is interested. It is a Mini belonging to a fellow TMF member which is to become a trackday toy.
Cheers

Hi Ben
Thanks for trying with the gear linkage, like you say it should be OK to drive, did you put rubbers on ok?
I put on the rubber U channel on the front door shuts to tie back the edges of the A and B post vinyls but by the time i had looked into the linkage kit, i ran out of time to do the seals as they need to be glued in.
i have left them in the front foot well for you.
Cheers
Ben
