The Cooper S needed a front wheel bearing for the MOT so it was decided to fit a pair.

They are now refitted to the car and along with a washer jet adjust and headlamp adjust now has its mot passed.

I also did the advisory work too and pumped up the suspension further as it had settled down a bit too far.

Cheers

Ben

Its a bit comedy ride height which is not good for the drive train.

It really needs lowering to the recommended height before going too far.

Yes, I agree.  It's home now so will be adjusting it back to where it should be.

It looks to be at the true original ride height - look back at period photos, the factory ride height was always much more than people realise.

Just dropped it down to be in Haynes manual spec.  12 6/8" at the front.for a late hydro.  The early hydro cars were set higher, according to Haynes.  Don't know why but I hate playing with the hydro suspension.  I have a Liquid Levers full spec pump and it really could not be easier; pressurise, de-presserise, vacuum.  A joy to use really.

Thought I'd catch this thread up on what's been happening at Mill Road.

I finished up this body resto on behalf of a customer who had completed the panel work himself

I've been doing the same for a forum member with this car

And I have this rare old thing to restore soon. Off the road since the early 70's!

Oh and a new Bill Richards engine in the 87 advantage project

There are a few more minis coming really soon so I'm looking forward to those.

They would have been from minispares.
