Due to covid, some plans have had to change along with peoples priorities.

Job for next week!

Making a start today with this mini.

The plan is to colour change the roof, wheel arches and dashboard.

Then a few other bits.

 

Arches off first

 

 

And then the dash needs to come out

 

 

Which requires the removal of the windscreen

 

 

And the front half of the roll cage

 

 

Then I removed the dash and stripped it

 

 

Roof is going back to bare metal so I masked up the rest

 

 

And Started off with some paint striper

 

 

Might have to resort to sanding though as there seems to be filler under the paint..

And eventually....

 

 

Just the dents to repair now and then ready for paint

I repaired the various dents on the roof and then got the dashboard ready by sanding the clearcoat back

 

 

And then applied a coat and a half of etch to both the roof and the dash

 

 

Followed by several coats of highbuild primer

 

 

 

Both will be blocked back on Monday and then topcoat with the new colour along with the arches.

I've now blocked the primer on the roof

 

 

And then painted it

 

 

Its hard to show the colour off in a photograph but its Audi District green

 

 

The dash and arches have been done to match
