And painted.
I also painted the bonnet to blend the colour

Ben, are you sure that blow to the head hasn't affected your short term memory !?!?

Good to hear you are feeling better now, other than repeating yourself a number of times

Cheers guys.
I think the multiple posts were due to my phone not being able to decide if it wants to connect with 4g or wifi when I went to post...
It kept failing so I kept resubmitting

Really sorry to hear about what happened but glad that you were able to get help and are recovering. Hoping you take some time off over the Christmas/New Year period to rest.

Cheers vinay.
I'm working until Wednesday but only doing what I can cope with for now.
I should be recovered enough by new year to go back to how things were before.

They used to say that green cars were unlucky but this one seems lucky for you despite it trying to guillotine your head off !
I hope you get a bit of decent rest over Christmas and make a full recovery soon.
All the best, Mark

Cheers mark.
I had heard about the green car bad luck thing.
One of the best cars I ever owned was green so I've never really paid much attention to that.
Mind you I thought it was pretty bad luck to begin with when I was bleeding all over the floor! Lol
Cheers

Wow, love what you consider light work Ben. I wondered why there had been no published progress for a while, now we all know. Sorry to hear about your accident; we've all had our heads bashed by the bloody mini bonnet but not normally requiring hospitalisation. Hope you are on the mend now.
by the way, it's two years ago to the day I picked up my S from you after a 2 month tidy up.
Hope you have a restful Christmas and back to good heath in 2021.
PS, there's no cure for mini-itis!

Are minis with Rads at the front any easier or harder to work on? I seem to do a lot through the grille.

Not particularly.
There is less to do through the grille on an mpi anyways so doesnt cause any issues
One issue I have found is that the aux belt tensioner adjusters seize up and can only really be accessed from underneath and have a square head so getting them moving can be tricky.
All the underbonnet bits come apart and out quickly and easily so even if stuff needs removing for access, it fine.
